Adding a Tumblr OAuth application

Before you can start exporting posts, you’ll need to add a new OAuth application to your Tumblr account. This will allow TumblBee to access Tumblr’s API directly as your user, without requiring you to enter your username or password.

Instructions

  1. Log in to your Tumblr account and navigate to Settings. Click Apps in the sidebar (or in the drop-down menu on mobile).

  2. At the bottom of the settings pane, click the Register link to open the OAuth apps page.

  3. Click the green + Register application button.

  4. Fill in the fields specified below. Any fields not listed can be left blank.
