Exporting for Obsidian
Obsidian is great at managing large collections of tagged items, which makes it a natural fit for Markdown-based blog exports. The following configuration settings are recommended when exporting for Obsidian.
| Setting Name | Value |
|---|---|
| Export format | Markdown |
| Ask/reblog format | Callout |
| Image row format | HTML |
| Tag format | Hyphenate multi-word tags |
| Media format | Link to media file |
If you’d like to publish your exported blog to a new site and draft future posts in Obsidian, Obsidian Publish is available as an official option. For users who don’t mind a little command line usage, Quartz is a popular free alternative.
